The greatest hebrew mussar book of our time is ‘Alei Shur’ by Rav Shlomo Wolbe, zt’l. He was the last of the great mussar mashgiachs (heard from Rabbi Nachman Bulman zt’l) and so he merited to have the final word on all matters.
